Wedding insurance to get peace of mind

Weddings are fun and joyful events where two people unite in their love, giving each other a promise to stay together for the rest of their lives. But what if an accident was to occur during the ceremony and you end up getting sued? That is the moment you thank yourself for having the prudence to purchase wedding insurance.

There are mainly two types of wedding insurance that are available for the bride and groom to be, namely wedding liability insurance and wedding event insurance. The former can insure you against everything that can happen to the wedding properties, such as the location, an expensive wedding dress, wedding car, deposits, etc. The latter insurance covers injuries to your guest, or damages that they cause during or after the wedding.

It is common to purchase wedding event insurance, as these can keep your deposits safe. They are also sometimes required by the venue you are holding the ceremony at to cover possible damages to the location. An event insurance policy costs anywhere from $150 and upwards, depending on how high you need the coverage to go.

Wedding liability insurance is also becoming a popular way to handle the risk involved in staging a large event. You never know when someone injures themselves, and you definitely don’t know when someone decides to sue you for the damages, medical fees, legal fees, and loss of income. There are even riders that can go a long way in insuring you against alcohol-related injuries that happen both during and directly after your wedding. These policies also cost around $150-200 and upwards, depending on how much damages you want to insure against.

The last thing you want to have to think about when you are getting married is a possible aftermath where you are liable for thousands, or even hundreds of thousands, of dollars. Wedding insurance is in that regard an affordable way for you to have peace in mind while you say “I do!”.
